Do Sagittarians have penises?
I'm curious why some people wouldn't go to a nudist resort. Just what is the big deal?
Embarrassment? Well, we all do things that are embarrassing, whether it's saying something inappropriate or forgetting someone's name. Is embarrassment from nudity any different to other forms of embarassement? I suppose it avoidable.
I'm not sure that the nudity is the whole story. Would you go to a nudist beach if you were the only one able to keep their clothes on? I guess the embarrassment now, is other people's nudity? Where would you look... don't you stare at the crotch of everyone you meet?
I guess this all begs the question, why the embarrassment about nudity?
I imagine that people invisage some bizarre scenario highlighting their nudity. "Good afternoon and welcome to our nudist club, and might I say that's a fine set of genitals you have... I must show them to our treasurer and his parents' family".
Perhaps people think they will be judged on their genitals? "Is that a 3-inch penis you have there, are you a Sagittarius?". Of course we're judged all the time, but it does seem unlikely that someone as naked as you, would be as critical as you might think.
I should confess that I've never been to a naturist resort before. But from what I've read and heard, nudists are far more accepting, than other groups. We've all heard and seen the snobbery expressed by some groups.
So is there any valid reason for not wanting to visit a nudist resort. Sure. You just don't want to. But I'd still be curious why.

Well, i was actually involved in the nudist community for a number of years, and what i found was that many nudists are not as accepting as one might hope; they were hostile in varying degrees towards swinging, for example. And i must say i'd be interested to see how many nudists would be accepting of my body now that i'm expressing my transgender identity, and have breasts as well as a cock . . . . my feeling is that many nudists would be uncomfortable at the sight of me.
Good point Hierodule. Of course there is a difference between tolerating the swinging lifestyle, and practicing it in the open, in a family nudist column. Nudism is after all, a non-sexual lifestyle.
As for a transgender body, now that would be interesting.
because everyone could see our shortcomings. Like the fish that got away we just couldn't lie anymore.

I don't wanna get harpooned is the reason why I wouldn't go to a nudist beach. There is only so much pastey white flesh the general populus can handle and well, let's face it, I'd fill the quota for the week with just one afternoon's visit!

Perhaps for blokes it's the fear of the unwanted erection!
I think it depends on how one is brought up to view both the body and sex. From a common Christian viewpoint both the body and sex has and is seen as dirty.
Combined with the unrealistic body expectations we get from modern media I wouldn't find it surprising that many in the US or Austrailia would have a problem going nude.

Not someting that most would want to admitting to sorta like masturbation.
Have a man look over a babe in bikini and thinks privately that he'd like to get in her pants; do you think that would change if she was entirely nude?

That nudism is inherently non-sexual is not to say that it never gives us sexual thoughts. Shopping for underwear gives some people sexual thoughts.
As you say our dress and looks are often designed to be provocative, and often remind us of sex, but are non-sexual.
When you have a communal public shower, see your grandparents naked, watch a National Geographical programme on a naked African tribe, then sex is not necesarry the first and only thing on your mind.
of course everyone at a nudist club looks at the genitals of the others, but they quickly note the size, or the amount of hair and quickly move on. It is the easiest way to remember individu-als later, by how big their dicks are, or whether or not they are circumcised. And the men always know just which women have the most pubic hair
People wonder why I am willing for other men to see my wife naked at a nudist club. The truth is that I enjoy showing her naked body to other men, and see the way they look at her with lustful eyes. We always have great sex afterward. It is our way of including other persons in our sexual adventures without the risks of out-and-out swinging. If other husbands would be completely truthful, they feel the same way. It is perfectly normal for a man to want to show his wife's naked body to other men. Everyone accepts the fact that it is normal for men to want to look at the nakedness of other men's wives, but this opportunity will never present itself unless there are those of us who are willing to present our own wives for them to look at. The whole nudist culture is dependent on this one fact, that the husbands like to show their wives naked to other men. Without it, the entire nudist movement would disappear.
